The Oregon ENA and the Oregon Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians issued a joint press release regarding the failure to pass Oregon HB 4142.
Oregon HB 4142 would have added hospital workers to Oregon law where it is a Class C felony to intentionally or knowingly cause physical injury to a person. The current law includes EMS workers, taxi drivers, public transportation operators, juvenile detention facility workers, highway workers, and flaggers.
