OSBN proposal regarding OHA vaccine requirement

Posted 2 months ago by Debbie Sanchez

Hello Oregon ENA Member,
We wanted you to be aware of an Oregon Administrative Rule change that the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) is proposing. This rule change has the possibility of affecting you or a fellow emergency nurse.
The Oregon State Board of Nursing is proposing a temporary rule to align with the Oregon Health Authority on vaccine requirements. If nurses do not comply with vaccine requirements, OSBN is proposing this be considered conduct derogatory to nursing and be subject to disciplinary action. Please see the attached document. The proposed rule change language starts on page 16 of the packet.
Whatever your stance on this issue may be, you can let your opinion be known at the OSBN's Board of Director's meeting on Wednesday, October 13th starting at 1630, or write to peggy.lightfoot@osbn.oregon.gov.
