Our full-service acute care medical center provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and diagnostic services to communities on the eastside. Our key services include cardiovascular care, emergency services, orthopedics, radiation oncology, surgery, imaging, rehabilitation and labor & delivery. We are staffed with more than 550 physicians, 1,900 employees and over 250 volunteers from our local communities and have been named a Top Workplace by the Oregonian for the second year. As of January 1, 2018, Adventist Health Portland announced an exciting agreement to integrate services with OHSU.

We are looking to add to our team in the following areas:Emergency Services: The 32-bed Emergency Department sees over 52,000 patients per year and offers the fastest door-to provider times in the metro Portland area. The ED has a department specific educator, a secured behavioral health area within the unit and patient assignments are made based on patient acuity. 

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU): The 13-bed Cardiovascular Unit provides care to all high acuity cardiovascular patients from telemetry to immediate post open heart patients. This unit utilizes an advanced universal bed model to improve patient transitions of care post cardiac surgery and complex cardiovascular procedures.  Participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds allows all care team members to impact and encourage patient healing while finding engagement in being part of this complex care team.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU):  The unit has a 12-bed medical/surgical ICU and encourages cross training between the CVU and ICU.  Pharmacist and intensivist are centrally located on the unit during the day shift.

Telemetry: The 30-bed telemetry unit serves patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Services include:• 24/7 monitor technician coverage• A unit-based pharmacist on day shift• Strong multi-disciplinary team collaboration

We're looking for someone to join our team as a RN who: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Essential Functions:• Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.• Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.• Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education: • Bachelor's Degree (BSN): Preferred

Work Experience: • Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications: • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association: Required• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
